Recipe for Gooseberry Chutney.


Gooseberry Chutney


Qty Description Qty Description
3 lb gooseberries 1 lb raisins
1 lb onions 2 tbsp salt
2 lb brown sugar oz crushed mustard seed
tsp cayenne pepper 1 pints vinegar


Wash, top and tail the goosberries.

Peel and chop the onions

Put all ingredients in a preserving pan.

Bring slowly to the boil and simmer for about 2 hours until thick.

Pot and cover.
