Gooseberry Chutney

3 lb | gooseberries | 1 lb | raisins |
1 lb | onions | 2 tbsp | salt |
2 lb | brown sugar | ¼ oz | crushed mustard seed |
½ tsp | cayenne pepper | 1½ pints | vinegar |
Method
Wash, top and tail the goosberries.
Peel and chop the onions
Put all ingredients in a preserving pan.
Bring slowly to the boil and simmer for about 2 hours until thick.
Pot and cover.
